Survey Data - Indiana Youth Survey

The IPRC has conducted the Indiana Survey, and has managed and reported the resulting data, since 1991. The purpose of this project is to provide data for state and local planning with respect to the use of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs (ATOD), gambling behaviors, and risk and protective factors.

Survey Data - Indiana College Survey

The Indiana Collegiate Action Network (ICAN), in conjunction with the Indiana Prevention Resource Center (IPRC) developed a new survey instrument in 2009, called the Indiana College Substance Use Survey, to collect information on items of interest to Indiana colleges. These reports summarize the findings of the annual Indiana College Substance Use Survey that is conducted by the Indiana Prevention Resource Center in the springs every year. Findings on the prevalence of alcohol, tobacco and other drug use, consequences of use, alcohol availability, and student perceptions of peer behaviors are presented.

County Epidemiological Data

The service previous called PREV-STAT has been improved to County Epidemiological Data. This service uses GIS software and data from a variety of sources to create county profiles, including maps and tables.
Currently the newest data are available to search on various variables.

IPRC Webinar Series

There are several webinars available regarding K2/Spice and Bath Salts and Indiana Youth Survey.

Grant Consulting

Consultation and training are provided without charge to Indiana-based prevention programs. Participants in the proposal-writing courses pay a nominal charge for meals and refreshments.
Intensive grants assistance (up to 200 hours) is available for organizations that have the capacity to manage large-scale, sustainable prevention programs, especially ones that have community-wide scope and have the potential for replication in other Indiana communities.

Home Library Electronic Resources

The IPRC maintains a non-circulating collection of monographs, curricula, journals and other reference items; and a circulating collection of videotapes, curriculum guides and packages.
Our library is equipped with the latest technology, enabling you to tap into major databases throughout the world housing collections on substance abuse prevention. The library offers free loans of videos to prevention professionals and practitioners and free reference services to all citizens of Indiana. Use the "Library Catalog" link to search the IPRC's materials.

IPRC Newsletter - An Ounce of Prevention
